Relationship & Couples Expert
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist with 20 years of experience. I have advanced training in helping adults and couples navigate complications with trust, sexual issues, infidelity, grief, parenting, family dynamics, anxiety and depression.
Research has consistently demonstrated that the primary factor that leads to successful outcomes in therapy is the chemistry between your therapist and yourself.
I will also add that motivation is crucial, especially when working with couples.
What defines me from many others is that I work very deeply with my clients. An integral part of this is showing up to our work together as a sincere, authentic, and candid person.
Therapy is an intense process, and you can't achieve results without some pain. Pain is the crucible in which we alter our perspectives and ultimately grow. My role and responsibility in the process is guiding you to a place where you can stretch, but not break.
Prior to being a psychotherapist, I worked for many years in the Information Technology field. I worked as tester, business analyst, and content producer.
My credentials:
BA Psychology, College of Santa Fe, 1992
MA, Integral Counseling Psychology, California Institute of Integral Studies 2003
Advanced Training:
Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) Level 2. I'm an active PACT Level 1 & 2 Training Coach.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (40 hours of training)
